I really wish this steampunk cake were mine…

Oh my gosh, yesterday I got an AMAZING early birthday present!  It has been a goal of mine ever since I was a wee young writing lass to be a member of the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA)…  To be in the same institution as some of my writing heroes, Ursula K. Le Guin, Anne McCaffrey, or George R. R. Martin.

And yesterday, my application got accepted!!! They EVEN ANNOUNCED ME ON TWITTER!!!! GAAAAAH!

Moving on.  Today is my 27th birthday.

I don’t feel 27.

I don’t look 27.

And I don’t think I act 27.

But it doesn’t much matter, for today is what it is, and according to my German friends, here in Deutschland, I give you gifts when it’s my birthday. Great tradition, huh? (That or it’s a great HOAX to trick me out of free stuff!)
