What are the odds?
Of your house getting struck by lightning?
Because that happened to MY house last week. And not only did it scare the bejeezus out of my husband, my visiting family, and my poor, poor pets, but it also fried our internet router.
Worse, my crappy internet service provider can’t come to fix the aforementioned fried router until Friday.
Seriously: WTF?!
So I am internet-less YET AGAIN. I can check my email daily at the nearby library, but…anything else (i.e. blogging) will have to wait another week.
Sigh. See you in a week…I hope.
You tell me: Has YOUR home ever been struck by lightning?

Thankfully no my house hasn’t been hit by lightning, what are the chances of that really?! I hope your internet is fixed real quick.

Yes! When I was really young back in Pennsylvania, our brick chimney was struck by lightning! Now, though, the trees are all taller than said chimney, so no worries there.

Glad everyone is okay!
No my house has never been hit by lightning. I had a family friend who was struck by lightning while manually closing her garage door. I don’t remember what happened exactly, but she was fine…just a scary thing to happen!

When I was little, our house wasn’t hit by lightning, but the electrical pole right in front was struck. I saw it as it happened–I couldn’t see for a few minutes after. The thunder rattled the plates in the cupboard. Best thing? It happened at night. The electrical wires draped over the driveway and the electrical company couldn’t make it until 6pm–so no school for us!

That’s crazy! Maybe it was the universe’s way of giving you less-interrupted writing time. 🙂

I’m sorry to hear that, Susan, but glad everyone’s Ok. I’m thankful it’s never happened to me, but it did happen to my aunt once a few years ago. No one was hurt, just more scared than anything. I hope you had a great visit with your family, in spite of the lightning.

Hope you and your family are okay! But now I’m scared because it’s been raining really hard these past few nights and I keep remembering this post, haha!
