The Young Authors Give Back Tour!
GUYS! Our big news is finally coming out into the world.
And by “our”, I mean: Me, Erin Bowman, Sarah J. Maas, and Kat Zhang.
WE’RE GOING ON TOUR.
TOGETHER.
Starting at BEA in New York City, we’ll be heading gradually west for two weeks–and ending up in Chicago.
But it’s not just a self-hosted tour of total awesome, but a tour that’s all about GIVING BACK. For each city we hit up, we’re doing signings…and we’re hosting workshops. Free workshops for young writers. The whole focus of this tour is to reach out to young writers (or any writers, really). We all started writing young (as children!), and now we’re very blessed to be where we are today. We want to pay some of our good fortune forward!
But you can learn more about our tour here, on this beautiful site Erin designed. So far, it looks like we’re definitely visiting: NYC, Pittsburg, Cleveland, and Grand Rapids. We’ll update the site as new events get locked into place, AND we’ll be updating while we’re on tour. Photos of our epic road trip, video clips from events, random absurd musings–all of it will be shared while we travel from New York City to Chicago.
Clearly the tour doesn’t kick off for a few months, but we wanted to start building buzz now! And to help build that buzz, we’re offering a fancy, international giveaway:

Now, how about a bit of music that we will OBVIOUSLY play a thousand times on repeat while this tour is happening. In fact, I think we should blast it before each event and walk in slow-mo style with sunglasses. Thoughts?

(lol but actually that is the lamest excuse ever ;D PLEASE PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE come back to Chicago again! Or better yet Milwaukee! Make this a yearly thing!!!!)

This is so awesome!! I kinda think the world might explode from all the awesome. I will definitely be at the Grand Rapids event! And possibly the NYC one, too.

Ah!!! This is SO SO SO SOOOO cool. I might just have to take a trip to make it to one of these stops. I’m too old for the workshop part, but it would be SO cool to meet you guys. Ah!!

I found out about this too early accidentally lol But baaaah this is so exciting! I’ve already told pretty much everyone I know in those areas 😀 I feel like one of those testimonials you see on websites, “I already took a workshop from Susan and Sarah and this was my experience…” WHICH WAS FABULOUS, basically 😉
