Music for the Masses
I’m a musical person. I listen to music for artistic inspiration; I listen to music to keep my exercise stamina strong; and I listen to music because I like it. Duh.
When people share music with me, I enjoy that — even if I may not like the music they suggest, I still appreciate the gesture. I like sharing music I discover as well. Back in my first years of university (early 2000s), my goal was to make every person I knew addicted to Muse like I was. Ahhhh… I still love Muse’s old albums, though their newer stuff isn’t for me.
And so to finally get to the point of this long, convoluted explanation: I wanted to share what I’m listening to and loving right now.
Happy Song on Repeat
Two Door Cinema Club’s “Something Good Can Work”
Video that Makes my Jaw Drop
Ok Go’s “White Knuckles” (or really any Ok Go video)
Beautiful Song to Make You Think
Guggenheim Grotto’s “Philosophia”
Empowering Rock
The Faint’s “I Disappear” (or anything by The Faint)
Song that Turns me Green with Singer Envy
A Fine Frenzy’s “Blow Away” (garsh, she is she so pretty. :))
Best Exercise Song (Jogging)
Jason Derulo’s “Ridin’ Solo”
Best Exercise Song (Spinning)
David Guetta feat. Kid Cudi in “Memories”
Awesome Music You’ve Probably Never Heard of
Chilean rapper Ana Tijoux’s “1977”
What’s on your playlist? Or do you have any long-time favorites to share? I’d love to hear! I’m always scouting for new music.

I’m more of a Brahms kind of girl when it comes to music for writing inspiration. But there are a couple here that I really like for pump-me-up kind of music. Must go download them. 🙂

Yeah, for writing I don’t listen to anything with words (except opera). But I like happy pop and rock for all other facets of my life. 🙂

Yargh. I can’t watch that video because I don’t live in the States… Can you tell me what it is so I can look it up?

Try pagewash.com and proxy into youtube.com. Might work. If not, go to
http://listen.grooveshark.com/#/search/songs/?query=time%20has%20come%20today%20chambers%20billboard%20100
Audio, no video. It’s “The Time Has Come Today” by the Chambers Brothers.
I emailed you the typos I found in Spirit-Hunters.
