Moving Hiatus Day #2
I spend a LOT of time in my kitchen. First and foremost because I love to EAT. So, it should come as no surprise that muchof my day revolves around cooking. And as such, I like to feel inspired while I’m in the kitchen. I like to use that time bent over the chopping board to brainstorm for my books.
I also like LOTS of counter space–especially if the Frenchman and I are both in there cooking (which is usually the case for dinner).
So…dream kitchen, GO!
You tell me: what would YOUR dream kitchen look like?

Oh, love the colour of the first kitchen, and I love the lighbulb fixture in the last kitchen! I haven’t really thought to much about my dream kitchen, but I think I’d want it to be open and attached to the family room…or at least have space for some kind of lounging couch, so somebody could sit and chat (with a glass of wine :-)) while I cook! Or vise-versa. Also, I want one of those things that hangs from the ceiling that you can hook all of your pots and pans to! Good luck with the move/unpacking! Did you guys go to France, or are you still in Germant?!

LOVE the color scheme. Sooz, between this post and your last one, I think we have very similar decor tastes. I’m totally stopping by your new place after the move. I may or may not have a suitcase with me 😉

The kitchen is the hub of the house in my family. So my perfect kitchen would need to be a fair sized kitchen/diner (I really don’t like seperate dining rooms, like to be cooking with my friends or guests). I love some of your suggestions as I prefer the more casual rustic look rather than super sleek and modern.

All these are gorgeous and dream kitchens! The first one is very Mediterranean. Love the bright colors! The jar light-bulb fixture is awesome. One day…I hope to have a dream house!
