Vengeance Road Round-up!
It’s here! Vengeance Road by Erin Bowman is here!
If you all haven’t heard me gush about this book yet, then you’re about to. This book is SO incredible and SO unlike anything out there.
You’re immediately thrown in the insanity from page 1, when we meet Kate — a gun-toting gal out for revenge against the criminal gang who killed her pa. This book has all the elements of a classic western: dusty, dry landscape; treasure in the mountains; deep dialect; Apache tensions; and a morally gray group of heroes and anti-heroes.
In classic Bowman style, the pacing is fast and the prose is sure to gut you in its simple power. Plus: KATE! What a heroine with a lot to learn.
You’ll have to find out if she does learn — or if she does win her vengeance in the end.

Wow what a great giveaway, I don’t think I’ve ever been more disappointed to not live in the US haha! I’ve heard so many great things about this book, and I think your endorsement may have just pushed it to the top of my must-read list – sadly it doesn’t seem to have been released in the UK yet 🙁

I totally ugly cried when the #VRRoundUp tag crossed my twitter feed yesterday, and yes, Baby Bowman really *was* offering me her toys because she thought I needed cheering up. This is so kind, so thoughtful, and I’m just really lucky to have such supportive, wonderful friends. Scrolling through the below pics made me smile like crazy. This book was definitely near the top of my wishlist – but after all this amazing praise I just couldn’t wait! Then I found out it got delivered a day early and it’s definitely my next read. Until then I’ll let it sit beautifully next to an appropriately thematic lantern I made. =D
